According to recent data, the price increase in Uzbekistan in March was recorded at 0.6%, reports EastFruit citing the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Despite this being the highest monthly figure since the beginning of the year, there is a positive trend in annual terms: inflation rates have decreased to 7.1% (for comparison, in February this figure was 7.3%, and in March of last year it reached 10.3%). Food prices increased by an average of 1.2% over the month. This is slightly slower than in the same period last year (1.5%). However, food inflation is higher on an annual basis: 5.6% versus 3.6% in March 2025.
