In the first three quarters of 2021, Iran achieved a record export of fruits and nuts to Russia, with a value of $ 196 million, marking a significant increase of 1.5 times compared to the same period in 2020. Apples, kiwi, watermelons, peaches, nectarines, raisins, dates, cherries, pistachios, and grapes are among the key exports to Russia. The growth in Iran's fruit exports to Russia has had an impact on suppliers from Moldova and Uzbekistan. Despite some decreases in exports of certain fruits due to spring frost, the export of kiwis and raisins to Russia has seen substantial increases. As of 2021, Russia is the third largest market for Iran's fruit and nut exports, following Iraq and India, with significant growth in exports to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
