IT difficulties, deadlines extended for milk, bovine, goat, and sheep milk processing companies in Italy

With Mipaaf decree n. 528795 of 18 October last, an extension was granted to the terms that milk, bovine, goat and sheep milk processing companies must comply with as regards the mandatory declarations to be registered in the Sian system. Following reports from several Italian Regions and Autonomous Provinces, about the difficulties in operating the IT platform set up for loading data and the consequent difficulty in respecting the strict deadlines set by the legislation, with the risk of subjecting operators to the sanctioning system , the Mipaaf has decided to extend some deadlines established in the application decrees of 2021. In particular, the first decree of 6 August 2021 concerns the registrations of the bovine milk supply chain, while the subsequent decree of 26 August establishes the provisions relating to the sheep and goat sector.
