This is what emerges from the projections on Istat data relating to the first ten months of the year disclosed on the occasion of the inauguration of Fruit Logistica in Berlin, the main international trade fair for the sector. A figure that can be explained by the numbers disclosed by the Divulga Study Center: our country is the European leader in exports of canned tomatoes (2.1 million tons of product for a value of 2.1 billion euros), grapes ( 463,000 tons of product for a value of 794 million euros), kiwis (268,000 tons for a value of 508 million euros), shelled hazelnuts (38,000 tons for a value of 318 million), while it ranks second behind Poland for apple exports (920,000 tons with a total value of 954 million euros). Germany represents the first outlet market for Made in Italy fruit and vegetables - underlines Coldiretti - with about a quarter of the total exported, thanks also to a 7% increase in purchases.
