Italy opens a support scheme for the veal sector

From October 8, livestock farmers in Italy can apply for financial support for the consequences that the corona crisis is having on their farms. A total of 90 million euros is available under the scheme, of which 20 million for the veal calf sector. The scheme provides for an amount of EUR 110 in aid received for calves under the age of 8 months slaughtered in the period from 1 March to 30 June 2020.
