The article highlights the collaboration between Italy and Togo on the Ananas Dolcetto project, aimed at enhancing cooperative agriculture in Togo. Funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the project, led by Brio, has successfully obtained Bio and Fairtrade certifications for a local pineapple cooperative, allowing for increased market value. The initiative has also provided job opportunities and informed consumers about the pineapple's quality in Italian points of sale, despite facing challenges during the pandemic. The second year of the project has received positive feedback from Togolese authorities and Fairtrade Italy, underscoring its significance in strengthening agricultural communities in Togo.
