Spring has seen the commencement of royal jelly production in Bursa, a product renowned for its cell regenerative properties and high demand. Despite the annual consumption of 30 tons in Turkey, the production only reaches 3 tons, with the shortfall being met from foreign sources. Local beekeepers like Mehmet Durgut and Metin Kaya have started this business, producing 100 kilos of royal jelly annually from 300 hives. Selling the product gram by gram, they have seen high domestic and international demand due to its benefits for child growth and development. However, they caution consumers about the risk of counterfeit products and advise purchasing only from trusted producers.
