Chilean lemons have a strong presence in the Japanese market and are the second largest destination for Chilean lemon exports. The Citrus Committee of ASOEX held a workshop in Japan to promote Chilean lemons, focusing on their quality and consistency. Challenges include competition from other countries and the high shipping and logistics costs due to the geographical distance. However, there is optimism for growth in the market as long as exports continue to maintain high quality and effective marketing and distribution strategies are implemented.
