[Jin-woo Lee, Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] At the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit held last month, Jeju Hanwoo beef and pork, whose exports were officially agreed upon in the summit meeting between Korea and Singapore, have embarked on the export path to Singapore. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in collaboration with the Food and Drug Safety Ministry and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office, held a shipment ceremony at 2 PM on the first day at Jeju Port to commemorate the first export of Jeju Hanwoo and pork to Singapore. The ceremony was attended by Jeong-hoon Park, Director of the Food Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Jeju Governor Young-hoon Oh, Gwangju Food and Drug Safety Bureau Chief Sung-ok Song, as well as export companies and producers.
