Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The price of sugar in the world has been quietly moving up to a record high since 2016. Likewise, the price of sugar in the country is currently more expensive than in 2022. Data from the Food Agency Price Panel this morning, Wednesday (1/3/2023 at 8.30 WIB) shows that the national average sugar price at the retail level has increased by IDR 150 to IDR 14,520 per kg. The national average sugar price in February 2023 is also more expensive than January 2023, from IDR 14,340 per kg to IDR 14,380 per kg. And, an increase compared to the February 2022 price which was recorded at IDR 14,170 per kg.
