The Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture has announced the initiation of the country's first olive harvest in five years, in partnership with local companies QVM Technology, Ordabasy Group, Yervira, and Georgian company Olive Georgia. The project involves planting olive seedlings, with an initial batch of 6,080 showing a high survival rate of 99.7%. Plans are underway to expand this, with QVM Technology aiming to cultivate on 1,000 hectares by 2025 and establish an olive oil processing plant by 2030.
