For 8 months of 2022/23 MY (September-March), Kazakhstan exported 4.68 million tons of wheat. This is 11.4% higher than the same indicator of the previous season (4.2 million tons), APK-Inform reports citing official statistics. The top three buyers of Kazakh wheat included Uzbekistan (2.34 million tons), Tajikistan (676.3 thousand tons) and Afghanistan (653.6 thousand tons). At the same time, one can note a slowdown in the rate of wheat exports from Kazakhstan in February-March. So, in March this year. 612.2 thousand tons of wheat from the Republic of Kazakhstan were sent to foreign markets (against 760 thousand tons in March 2022), in February - 639.4 thousand tons (against 666 thousand tons last year).
