The Nyeri county government has reported a 12% increase in milk production for the fiscal year 2021/2022, with a total of 127.9 million litres. This increase is due to interventions by the county government, including the provision of milk coolers, pasteurizers, and tankers, as well as group training and office consultations. Other support initiatives included the construction of a milk plant, distribution of dairy goats, and provision of pasture and fodder seeds. The county plans to continue these interventions to further increase milk production.
