Indonesia's Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has confirmed that there will be an adequate supply of fish during Ramadhan and Eid this year, with an estimated availability of 3.10 million tons against a demand of 2.46 million tons in March and April 2024. The KKP anticipates a 10% rise in demand during Ramadan and a 20% increase ahead of Eid. The ministry is promoting fish consumption due to its health benefits and cost-effectiveness, and assures that the current stock in frozen warehouses is secure, with prices returning to normal and remaining stable.
