The Korea Duck Association (Chairman Lee Chang-ho) announced that it awarded a commendation to four officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on the 19th. This commendation was given in recognition of their contributions to the sustainable development and policy support of livestock and duck industries. The recipients were Lee Byung-yong, deputy director of avian influenza prevention; Kang Jung-woo, senior official of disease prevention policy; Kim Ju-young, senior official of livestock management; and Lee Yong-ho, senior official of livestock policy. They were evaluated as having played key roles in policies such as improving duck farm quarantine systems, early compensation for farms, stabilizing the duck industry, and promoting quarantine-friendly livestock facilities.
