Vietnam's Lao Cai province is planning to expand its pineapple production area to 2,260 hectares by 2024, aiming for a harvest output of 41,900 tons in 2023. The province will introduce new pineapple varieties and focus on three main planting seasons to meet market demand. It also aims to attract investment in pineapple processing factories and expand exports to the US and EU. By 2024, the province expects the pineapple production value to reach 190 billion VND.
