The past week of oilseed futures trading on global exchanges brought slight price drops after previously setting multi-week highs. On Thursday, the European Commission published the latest estimates for rapeseed harvests in the EU for the current season (details below). Rapeseed on MATIF in the May contract cheaper by over 13 euros from the February contract Rapeseed prices in the February delivery contract (last trading took place on Friday) on the Paris exchange fell by 0.5 percent and amounted to 486.00 euros/t (2048 PLN/t) and were 2.4 percent lower than a year ago. Over the past week, the price of rapeseed increased by 1.0 percent. The next nearest series of the May delivery contract dropped by 1.1 percent to 472.75 euros/t on Friday, and over the week the price decreased by 0.8 percent.
