In 2024, each resident of the region consumed an average of 122 kg of such products. Tyumen Oblast ranked second in the level of consumption of bakery products (including pasta, flour, cereals, and legumes) among the subjects of the Ural Federal District—122 kg per capita in 2024. This is evidenced by recently published data from Rosstat. This indicator is 1.7% higher than the average for the district (120 kg) and 8% higher than the national average (113 kg). In the Ural Federal District, the highest consumption of bakery products per person per year was recorded in Sverdlovsk Oblast—126 kg. The lowest value was recorded in Kurgan Oblast—111 kg. In Chelyabinsk Oblast, the annual consumption of bakery products per capita amounted to 114 kg. At the same time, there was a significant difference—2.9 times—in the consumption of sugar between the regions of the Russian Federation.
