In Kırıkkale's Bahşılı district, a lavender harvest was conducted on a 13 decare area in the village of Karaahmetli. Mehmet Bozkurt, the farmer, has been cultivating lavender for three years and has noticed it is more fertile than other cereal crops. The harvest has attracted visitors from various parts of Turkey. Recep Tüm, the district Agriculture and Forestry Manager, praised the venture for enhancing the district's atmosphere and drawing more tourists. Plans are underway to create a lavender valley in Karaahmetli, supported by the Governor and the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry.
