Indonesia: Light trap technology makes Enrekang Regency as a producer of export quality onions better

My Agriculture - Director General of Horticulture Prihasto Setyanto said that the shallot cultivation area in Enrekang Regency has become one of the attractions of the area. The reason is, at night the planting area emits a beautiful light. The light comes from light trap technology which is used to control pests and also functions as lighting at night. Prihasto revealed that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo had given direct instructions for Enrekang Regency to become a national onion production center. The Minister of Agriculture wants Enrekang farmers to become examples for farmers in other areas. The reason is, agricultural land in Enrekang is filled with rocks.
