The average daily price of live cattle in March has increased by 9.3% from the last closing day of February, showing a higher evolution than the same period last year despite being 19.3% below the average price received in the same period from 2022. The market is encouraged by the news of the Chinese market reopening for beef exports. However, the internal market does not present greater possibilities due to loss in the population's purchasing power and the religious period of Lent, which traditionally impacts on lower consumption.
