Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has predicted an 8.9% increase in the Gross Value of Agricultural Production (VBP) for 2023, reaching BRL 1.249 trillion, which is the highest in the last 34 years. Despite a decrease in cattle prices and annual revenue, the financial result is projected to be R$ 362 billion. Mato Grosso is expected to surpass the combined values of neighboring states Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul in VBP. The resumption of exports to China and Mexico is anticipated to further increase the economy by improving arroba values.
