Focus on security and nutrition in Togo with the focus on the development of four sectors - maize, rice, tomatoes and poultry - by 2030. Development plans for these sectors were approved last week during a workshop in Lomé bringing together stakeholders in the agricultural sector and technical and financial partners, including FAO and IFAD, and materialized within the framework of the project Support Project for the Incentive Mechanism of Agricultural Financing based on risk sharing (Pro MIFA). For the maize sector, the objective is to achieve the production of 211,000 tonnes of grain to supply flour production units and for the feed mill. The targets are ambitious with an increase in the production of feed from 102,288 tonnes to 268,114 tonnes, semolina from 300 to 25,300 tonnes and flour from 156 to 13,156 tonnes, ...
