In April, Malaysia experienced a notable increase in palm oil-related activities, as reported by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). Exports of palm oil rose by 9.62% to 1.10 million tonnes, and production of crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel saw significant increases of 21.52% and 21.42% respectively, reaching 1.69 million tonnes and 409,097 tonnes respectively. Additionally, the report highlighted increases in the production of crude palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake, and in the stocks of CPO, processed palm oil, and total palm oil inventories. Exports of palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake, oleochemicals, and biodiesel also saw positive growth, while imports of CPO and palm kernel oil were recorded.
