Tommy mango prices have experienced a significant drop in all producing regions, with a notable 31% decrease in Livramento de Nossa Senhora (BA) and a 14.3% decrease in Vale do São Francisco (PE/BA). These prices are now lower than the unit production costs. In contrast, palmer mango prices have risen in the Valley, reaching R$ 1.22/kg, which is 79% higher than tommy mango prices in the same region. The decrease in tommy mango prices is attributed to competition and the early cessation of exports to the United States.
