The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) published this Wednesday (1st) the list of municipalities eligible to renegotiate rural debts of producers and cooperatives affected by climatic events. The action is part of Provisional Measure 1,314/2025, issued at the beginning of September. Ordinance No. 114 of the Agricultural Policy Secretariat, published in the Official Gazette of the Union, lists 1,363 municipalities that meet the criteria defined by the MP and by Resolution 5,247 of the National Monetary Council. Localities were included that: Producers and cooperatives from these municipalities can renegotiate debts from rural credit operations, provided they have losses of at least 30% in two or more harvests between July 2020 and June 2025. The line provides up to R$ 12 billion in resources from the Treasury, with interest rates between 6% and 10% per year, according to the size of the producer, and a repayment period for rural debts of up to nine years.
