The CEO of Soyuzmolok, Artem Belov, predicts a 2.5-3% increase in marketable milk production in Russia for 2022 compared to 2021, reaching 24 million tons. This growth is due to high profitability and government support, with milk imports expected to be around 5.5-6 million tons and exports at about 1 million tons. The domestic market is estimated to be around 29-30 million tons, valued at 1 trillion rubles. The dairy sector is expected to drive growth in the agricultural complex, with opportunities to increase consumption, reduce imports, and gradually increase exports of exchange-traded dairy products.
