Live pig purchase prices On the domestic market on March 6-12, 2023, the purchase price of pigs (data from the Integrated Agricultural Market Information System of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) was PLN 8.22/kg, i.e. PLN 0.04/kg lower than in the previous week . Livestock was 4% more expensive than a month earlier and 33% more than a year ago. On average in the EU within a week, class E slaughter pigs increased by 0.6% to EUR 228.63/100 kg of chilled slaughter weight. The price of this livestock was 8% higher than a month ago and 42% higher than last year. In Poland, this class of slaughter pigs was paid EUR 229.62/100 kg, which is 0.4% more than the EU average.
