In the first ten months of 2024, Ukraine saw 63% of its meat production originating from various farms, with the most significant growth observed in Zakarpattia, Volyn, Rivne, and Zhytomyr regions. Despite a slight decline in cattle slaughter in September, October 2024 witnessed a 5% increase compared to the previous month. The majority of the beef produced was from enterprises (27%), while households accounted for 73%. Farm cattle slaughter remained relatively stable, with a slight increase in enterprise slaughter but a decrease in household slaughter. Overall, beef production in Ukraine experienced a 2% growth compared to the same period last year, reaching 200.7 thousand tonnes.
