Mexican avocado production more than doubled in 10 years

Just like every year, the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recently released the Atlas of Panorama Agroalimentaria, which contains all production and export figures of the Mexican agriculture and food sector over the past year (2019). This year too, this voluminous and colorful volume shows an increase in Mexican agricultural and food production and exports, in which fruit and vegetables top the list. The effect of the corona pandemic is of course not yet visible here. Fruits and vegetables are especially important in the Mexican agricultural sector: Mexico is the world's largest producer of avocado and blackberries; the second largest producer of green pepper, raspberries and limes; and the third largest producer of asparagus, strawberries and papaya.
