The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) has launched the projects “Fine Aroma Cacao” and “Special Coffees,” which will benefit more than 8,740 farming families in the Valley of the Rivers Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro (Vraem). The head of Midagri, Vladimir Cuno Salcedo, highlighted that the start of both projects represents a significant step towards boosting agricultural production, ensuring quality, sustainability, and competitiveness in these crops that extend across the regions of Ayacucho, Cusco, and Junín. This initiative constitutes a strategic factor that will not only directly benefit the farmers but will also allow Midagri, through the Special Development Project of the Valley of the Rivers Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro (ProVraem), to promote the strengthening of agrarian technology in the production of fine aroma cacao and special coffees, two emblematic chains of Peruvian agrarian development.
