Research by the Institute of Agricultural Economics in São Paulo has shown a decrease in the amount spent on beef and pork per kilogram, leading to an increase in the amount of pork purchased by consumers. In October, for example, one kilogram of beef could buy 1.844 kilograms of pork, marking a 4.6% increase from the previous year. The ratio of pork purchased with beef funds has seen an annual growth of 12.3% from January to October 2022 and a 12.5% increase from November 2021 to October 2022.
