Climate change-induced dry conditions and high temperatures are causing milk price increases in Tanzania, as reduced pasture and water sources stem cattle health and milk production. This problem has affected livestock keepers' income and led to a surge in demand. In some areas, the price of cattle milk has risen by 20% from the previous quarter. The heat is also impacting animal feed intake, milk production, and reproduction, leading to higher feeding costs for producers. The Tanga Dairy Cooperative Union has not commented on the situation.
