Earlier it became known that Ukraine intends to introduce an embargo on a number of Polish agricultural products in response to the extension of the unilateral ban on the import of Ukrainian grain.
As stated by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka, onions, tomatoes, cabbage and apples from Poland will be subject to the embargo.
In mid-September, the European Commission did not extend the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain into the European Union. However, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, despite the EC decision, unilaterally extended the current ban. The Kyiv authorities responded by filing a complaint with the WTO against these countries.
