Ministry of Agriculture defines sanitary break for soybean 2026/27

The Ministry of Agriculture has published the sanitary empty periods and the soybean sowing calendar for the 2026/27 crop. The measure applies to all federative units. The regulation came into effect today. Ordinance SDA No. 1,579 sets intervals without live soybean plants to reduce Asian rust. The text also defines official planting windows by state and by regions within some states. In Mato Grosso, the empty period runs from June 8 to September 6, 2026. Planting follows from September 7, 2026, to January 7, 2027. In Goiás, the empty period occurs from June 27 to September 24, 2026. Sowing runs from September 25, 2026, to January 2, 2027.
