The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is promoting the development of downstream and local food exports to enhance food security and boost the national economy. It is encouraging micro and medium food businesses to improve the quality of export-oriented processed food products, with a focus on local commodities like cassava, taro, and sorghum. The Ministry is also urging regional heads to prepare food stocks and a logistics system to meet the food needs of the population for the next two years. The Ministry has signed a cooperation agreement with Accor Hotels in the East Java region to build a partnership for MSMEs and promote the processing industry. Accor Hotels supports local food supply SMEs and is involved in the development of local food.
