With the aim of protecting the health of producers, consumers, and the environment, the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) carried out surprise inspections on establishments dedicated to the commercialization of Agricultural Chemical Pesticides (PQUA) in the Moquegua region. During the interventions, the technical staff verified that the offered products have the corresponding registration granted by Senasa, in accordance with the current regulations, as well as the non-commercialization of prohibited, expired, or unauthorized pesticides, which represent a risk to human health, agricultural production, and the environmental surroundings. The inspections carried out this year were developed in the district of Moquegua, Mariscal Nieto province, as part of the annual institutional oversight plan, which includes 25 scheduled inspections for 2026.
