Over 13,000 animals are currently in quarantine in Kazakhstan, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. The quarantine includes 10,625 cattle and 2,408 small cattle. The ministry has also obtained an export permit for 474 heads of cattle. A limit has been set on the export of bulls and sheep, with the quota being for bulls older than 12 months and rams older than 6 months. The number of heads allowed per feedlot and per commodity producer has also been specified.
