Morocco has seen a significant increase in its fresh lettuce exports to France, reaching record highs in the first three months of 2023. This follows a three-year break in exporting fresh lettuce to the UK, with Morocco now exporting about 90 tonnes to the UK in January-March. These developments come as Morocco focuses on diversifying its agricultural exports and finding new markets, particularly in light of challenges in the Russian market and difficulties in trade with the EU post-Brexit.
