Morocco ranked as the fourth largest exporter of fresh cultivated blueberries in the world in 2022, with sales amounting to 53 thousand tons, according to EastFruit. This is a significant increase from the country's export volume in 2017, when it was the seventh largest exporter with 15.6 thousand tons. The European Union, the UK, and Norway are the primary consumers of Moroccan blueberries, with the Middle East and Southeast Asia also being significant markets. In 2022, Morocco also began exporting blueberries to North America on a trial basis, with Canada importing 100 tons and the US importing 130 tons.
