Morocco's potato cultivation is well-organized but relies heavily on imported seed potatoes. In the 2022/23 season, seed potato imports reached their highest level in five years, totaling 60,000 tons. Due to high demand for high-quality seed potatoes and a record-high local ware potato cultivation, Moroccan importers continue to increase their seed potato imports. The majority of seed potatoes are supplied by the Netherlands, the UK, Denmark, and France, with Dutch suppliers having the largest market share.
