The Department of Horticulture and Food Processing in Madhya Pradesh has been licensed by Agrinnovate India Ltd. for the use of the 'Aeroponic Method for Virus-free Potato Seed Production' technology, developed by the ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute. The technology is expected to increase potato seed production and meet the state's seed requirement. The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, praised the development and reiterated the Central Government's commitment to providing quality seeds to farmers. The technology involves spraying nutrients into the roots of the plant, with the upper part remaining exposed to light and air, and one plant yielding an average of 35 to 60 Mini Tubers.
