Netherlands: New sustainability framework for pig farms

The sustainability matrix was developed within the scope of the Interreg RAMBO project. RAMBO stands for "Reduction of Ammonia through Source-Oriented Solutions and Support" and focuses on testing, demonstrating, and widely disseminating knowledge about measures that help reduce emissions from pig and poultry farms. The matrix is a free, user-friendly Excel tool that helps pig and poultry producers quickly understand which measures or techniques for reducing ammonia emissions best suit their needs, both for new constructions and renovations. Dutch livestock producers can use it. Producers fill in company and farm data, such as location, animal species, type of farm, and desired reduction. They then receive an overview of measures and techniques to reduce ammonia emissions suitable for their situation.
