Norway has experienced a significant increase in the export prices and volumes of various seafood products in April compared to the same period last year. Live king crab export price rose by 64%, reaching NOK 577.7 per kilogram, while snow crab export volume and value increased by 67% and 94% respectively, amounting to 1,285 tons and NOK 149 million respectively. The average export price of frozen snow crab also increased by NOK 16 year-on-year. Additionally, prawn exports experienced a 29% increase in value, but a 7% decrease in export value, with Sweden, Canada and Finland as the main markets. Finally, the export volume of frozen shrimp more than doubled, from 89 tons to 694 tons.
