Paraguay: October slaughter in exporting refrigerators registered 128,048 cattle

Cattle slaughter in October in exporting refrigerators totaled 128,048 heads, an increase of 9.1% compared to the same month last year, according to data from the National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa). In the monthly comparison, the activity was 25.2% lower compared to the heads processed last September. However, the drop from September to October 2022 was 2.9% less than the drop from September to October last year. In the tenth month, the plants slaughtered 17,629 steers, 70,031 bulls, 16,921 cows and 23,467 heifers. Frigorífico Belén (Minerva) was the one with the highest monthly slaughter with 25,259 animals, followed by Frigomerc (Minerva) with 18,363 head and Frigorífico Neuland with 15,262 cattle.
