Despite the pandemic, chili producers in Aguascalientes have managed to maintain production, improve quality, and preserve market share, according to Carlos Narváez Ávila, president of the Chile Product System Committee. They have successfully produced varieties such as poblano, jalapeño, serrano, pasilla, güero, and bell pepper, and have benefited from increased production and better quality. The planting season is from March to April, and the harvest can occur from June to August and part of September. The chili cultivation has expanded due to improved production techniques, which have made the activity more profitable and efficient.
