The President of Bolivia's National Chamber of Oilseed Industries, Jorge Amantegui, has refuted claims by the Association of Poultry Farmers of Santa Cruz (ADA) of a solvent soy flour supply shortage, asserting that oilseed industries are consistently meeting domestic demand despite challenges such as reduced soybean grain supplies and export limitations. He also addressed concerns over potential diversion of solvent soybean flour to the black market, which is reportedly influencing the prices in neighboring Peru. Amantegui highlighted the government's fair allocation of quotas and emphasized the sector's resilience amidst adversities, but also emphasized the need to resolve blockades to ensure the smooth export of soy by-products and to stabilize the national economy.
