A total of one hundred families from the districts of San Gabán (Puno), Camanti (Cusco), and Inambari (Madre de Dios) are strengthening their economic and social development through the raising of paco and tilapia, as part of an intervention driven by the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) in territories affected by the presence of illicit crops. This articulated work is part of the Comprehensive and Sustainable Alternative Development Program, which has an investment of S/504,368. The financing allows for improving the production conditions of 100 aquaculture units through technical training, specialized assistance, and sustainable practices. Devida directly supports each productive unit with Farmer Field Schools, a participatory methodology that ensures effective knowledge transfer in productive management, aquatic health, post-harvest, and marketing.
