The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) has announced with great excitement the recent market access granted to Brazilian chicken meat in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country known for its high chicken meat consumption within the Balkan region. This development, officially acknowledged by Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), is anticipated to strengthen Brazil's agricultural presence in Europe. With a population of 3.2 million, most of whom reside in rural areas, Bosnia and Herzegovina imports a significant portion of its chicken meat, primarily from European countries. Ricardo Santin, the president of ABPA, highlights the market's potential for Brazilian exporters, attributing the success to the dedication and efforts of key Brazilian agricultural officials, including Minister Carlos Fávaro and his team. This achievement is heralded as a significant step towards enhancing the prospects for Brazilian producers and exporters in the European market.
