The Nigerian health authority has approved Brazil to export live cattle, buffaloes, and dairy products to Nigeria for breeding purposes. This move reflects trust in Brazil's health control system and offers opportunities for Brazilian producers to expand their businesses. In 2023, Nigeria imported over 875 million dollars in Brazilian agro-industrial products, making it a significant trading partner. This opening is part of Brazil's strategy to expand into new markets, having opened its 71st market and adding 149 new markets in 52 countries since 2023, a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
